The September Equinox Corridor of 2018

This week is a powerful time as we pass through the Harvest Full Moon and through the remainder of the equinox corridor (the days that follow the September 22 change of seasons).  We have been culminating wisdom and experiences over the spring and summer and now we come to a point where we reap the rewards of our struggles and efforts.

Many have experienced slow and difficult situations, often experiencing darkness and pain and/or large life changes. Clarity and understanding now allows us to leave behind all that which no longer serves our highest good. We are free to discard the old to release all that which is no longer in alignment. This creates new space and allows you to anchor in a higher state of being. This is the joy one achieves when their actions and beliefs are aligned and all the pieces of their life have integrity and love at it’s core.

Ancient Trails

I celebrated the Autumn Equinox by visiting the Sanilac Petroglyph Historic State Park in Michigan with a friend. The petroglyphs are a sacred location where the indigenous people of Michigan came together for an annual meeting. Various representatives from the tribes and bands would come together and share their knowledge, make plans, and hold discussions. Gathering from all points, they would share their harvest which included duck, pigeon, cranberries, and wild rice. The site is located along the trails that were used by the natives for hundreds of years.

The site was lost in the process of settlement and taken over by vegetation but a fire revealed the stone outcropping and now the land is protected. Tribal gatherings resumed in 2002. It is located in the “thumb” of Michigan in Sanilac County along the Cass River.

The petroglyphs depict a variety of stories and wisdom including the famous image of the Archer, Ebmodaakowet, who is shooting knowledge into the future, seven generations ahead. It is believed that we are now coming into that seventh generation, into a new age and it is time for us to unlock the wisdom that has been sent to us.

I especially feel a strong connection to the archer but also love the significance of the other images as well. The Eagle Man is Migizi Inini, who looks to the new day of the east, ensuring that people are following traditions and teachings. Mishibzhew, the water panther, protects the waters of the Great Lakes.

I felt the immense and powerful love of God, our creator, and the clarity of vision being offered to us. We are fully supported in these times of change. I was told to trust my intuition and know that I am on the right path. I also feel the increased connection with benevolent unseen energies, angels perhaps. We are moving into a higher level and the light is shining on more truths for all to see, asking us to review our beliefs and to find new and better ways to lives our lives collectively.

My friend’s message encourages us to find interpretations that empower our personal stories. We cannot live life according to the needs and expectations of others. It is important that we write our own script and it should be one that empowers us the most, allowing us to be the hero. This does not mean we are egoic or enhancing the truth, rather this means that we choose to share our observations and experiences with empowering words that are loving and light filled.

It was a beautiful day and we enjoyed this beautiful land along the flowing Cass River (despite the mosquitoes). Afterwards we shared a delicious meal together and enjoyed conversation and a gentle breeze while listening to bird song.

The Anishnabe (Ojibwe) tribes would celebrate equinox from dawn till dusk. Prior to the ceremonies they would begin with purification in the sweat lodge. Celebrating the circle of life and the four directions is a reflection on the cycles of life. Nothing is linear as it may seem for we are continually living in the hoop of life.

Into the Light

It is being said that this Equinox corridor is a time in which powerful information is arriving to assist humanity through great upcoming changes. Shimmering multicolored DNA-shaped strands of light, very much like the feathered serpent, are being seen in art. In Mesoamerican religions, the symbolism of this deity was one of duality. Being feathered represents a divine nature while the serpent represents a closeness to earth. We now know that this represents the duality of humanity integrating, an awakening of our DNA as we evolve into a higher state where we literally blend heaven and earth.

It is said that the sunlight can awaken information within our consciousness, bringing forth that which is in need of healing. Trapped emotions and ideas live in the body and present themselves as pain. According to Lisa Brown, “I have a saying, where you hold back is your lack…. look and see where this applies for you. This is an “all in” experience and the higher we go, the more uncomfortable the old gets….  all of that old programming inside” … this is what we all came to fully transform from within.

Through releasing the old we make room for our bodies to bring in that which is new so that we may enjoy the freedom and beauty of living on this beautiful planet Earth. This influx of light is greatly assisting those who are ready to release the layers of egoic self through confronting fears. Through this process we can embrace clarity, which will help us to come back to our true soul path.

The Astrology of Change

The full moon and equinox are aligning with M87, which is the galaxy who originally birthed our Milky Way galaxy. This alignment represents useful insight and information for those who are ready.  This is “clarifying the role of humanity (and Earth) within a galactic and intergalactic framework” according to Graham Forscutt.

As my friend Kalia Diya said, “I can confirm that this is happening from my own perspective with what has been happening recently in the ethers, with massive waves, downloads, shifts, disclosure, exposure, magnetic recalibrations, “things” coming to the surface, not only through the layers of our planet, but through the layers of collective consciousness” which very much expresses what I have been feeling and experiencing as well.

I have connected to the Archer at the Sanilac Petroglyphs Historic State Park since my visit in the summer of 2017. I believe that many ancient sites have been designed to align with the seasons and star systems and that finding an awareness of this information helps us to further understand the wisdom of the site.

At the exact time of the Autumn Equinox on Saturday and again while visiting the petroglyphs the following day, I used my star tracking app on my phone to determine where the archer was pointing in the heavens in relation to this particular petroglyph. Both times the constellation on the visible horizon has been Gemini.

Gemini is a mutable air sign and represents duality and communication. The twins are represented by the number two, which is also very relevant to the energies surrounding the equinox and full moon. Gemini springs from the earth to provide the ability to know and understand reality. While Aries stands for subject matter and Taurus for the object, Gemini represents the relationship between the two. This gives rise to knowledge itself. The opposite of Gemini is Sagittarius, the Archer, who seeks to provide context and meaning to the information that the twins wish to accumulate. Humanity is gaining knowledge at this time and we will soon be finding more context in relation to our findings, both personally and collectively.

The symbol for Gemini represents unity in addition to duality because of the way the twin pillars are bound together, connecting to heaven and earth.  In Egyptian astrology, the Gemini constellation was called the ‘Two Stars’ or ‘Pimahi,’ which means ‘the United.’ This is significant because we are moving into a time where humanity will unite. Despite the seeming division as portrayed in media, many are coming together to share their darkness so that they may move into the light as one.

The full moon today, Monday, September 24 will occur in the sign of Aries, a sign of fire and new beginnings. We are being invited to be who we truly are. While at the petroglyphs I received a message indicating that we need to believe in our dreams and live from our heart. It is also important to embrace and accept our emotions so that we may grow and move forward. We are truly being afforded a brand new beginning at this unique time. It shall be interesting to see how humanity proceeds forward.

This full moon will highlight our inner shadows and rather than being afraid, we are only required to understand and let go. It’s important to trust ourselves, our intuition, and to be able to push off from the shore of safety and enter the flow of life.

Moving Forward

In summary, humanity is in a time like no other. As we move forward, we continue to release the dark and the pain to make space for the light and the new. I invite you to review your past and to glean wisdom and understanding from all that you have been through and overcome. Understand and release this information and know that it is now safe to move forward. With self-love and intent, find your power and move forward.

It is a time for us to receive information in a way that allows us to spark new beginnings. Disclosure is ongoing while at the same time new information is becoming available to help us to improve our lives. We can continue to believe and live in the old “truths” or we can rewrite our story. What we believe is what we live. At this equinox we celebrate our growth as we move into balance and harmony. It is a time of creation. What experience will you create?
