She and her partner, Michael Dwyer, own Ann Charles Media LLC, and together they provide boutique media services for select clients.

Topics include goal setting, marketing, social media, business development, health and fitness, self-care, meditation, personal and professional empowerment, and the business of writing.
A voracious reader since the age of five, Sonya Julie has been writing creatively for decades. She has published columns in company newsletters and created freelance content for print and digital publications about health, fitness, lifestyle, travel, adventure, and community. Publications include The Oakland Press, Michigan Sports Edge, and Rochester Media.
Sonya is the executive administrator for Rochester Writers and loves interacting with the Michigan writing community through a variety of roles. She works with authors on the self-publishing path to assist in creating their website, email newsletters, and social media platform. She also assists with helping them to self-publish their books with companies such as Amazon Kindle and Ingram Spark while promoting their work through channels such as bookshop.org and SCBWI BookStop, for example.
Sonya has a Bachelor of Business, two associate degrees, and years of professional development. She enjoys keeping her knowledge and skills current through workshops, conferences, and learning opportunities that fine-tune her abilities to grow her businesses and support clients. These include Word Camp from WordPress, the Michigan Festivals and Events Association conference, various writing conferences, online marketing workshops, social media platform courses, and Adobe trainings and workshops.
Sonya is available for speaking engagements and has presented at Bloom Wellness in Ann Arbor, The Path of Consciousness Conference and Retreat in Clarkston, Detroit Working Writers Conference in Troy, Natural Healing Therapeutic Massage in Mount Clemens, the Rochester Writers’ Conference at Oakland University, and at the Royal Oak Public Library.
Sonya enjoys hiking, strength training, alpine and nordic skiing, yoga, fitness, reading, writing, nutrition, paleo and keto cooking, travel, horseback riding, creating jewelry through metal smithing, graphic art, logic systems, communications, community events, and embracing the adventure of a life well lived.
