Turmeric is a root that has been used for thousands of years by many cultures for its potent anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Turmeric is especially known for its benefits to digestion, immune function, liver health and even possible protection from cancer. It is also known to prevent Alzheimer’s and help with sciatica and other inflammation related issues.
Oh how I miss good Michigan Honey! Luckily my Local Honey is a wonderful match. I haven’t had Tumeric tea though. Might have to try this out tomorrow morning.

I tried this, actually, and it was quite nice – peppery, I’d say. I didn’t use any honey, just ground turmeric in hot water.
It is a bit peppery – earthy too I think. Glad you enjoyed it!
