Grandmother’s Roses

I recall being a little girl walking through paths surrounded by flowers taller than me. Beautiful blossoms perfumed the air with their heavenly scent  as butterflies and hummingbirds fluttered about.

One of the most memorable flowers were the beautiful roses climbing up trellises against the solid brick walls. These are my happy summer memories of my grandmother’s house.

She still grows roses and I had the pleasure of admiring these flowers today. I inhaled their scent deeply and admired the sun highlighting their beautiful shade of red. They represent my grandmother’s deep love  and all of the beautiful gifts she has given our family over the years. The gifts of love, care, and kindness. I am truly blessed.
